Nonsense, hogwash, bullshit!
These are the words that might do justice to some thoughts I shared with a friend.
In conversation, I brought up an idea I had developed. I explained how I was thinking, and what conclusion I derived. Immediately, and without hesitation, he kindly let me know the idea was stupid. It was put in more colloquial terms, but the message was quite helpful.
It’s extremely important to externalize your ideas and receive help and support. It’s hard to objectively look at your thoughts and understand the bias, blind spots, and assumptions that are present in your line of thinking. What might’ve been a build up of thoughts for the last year took one day to breakdown when I shared them externally.
