Fire

Posted at — Nov 4, 2020

Can you believe that only 200 hundred years ago, humans didn’t have a mechanism to incept fire at their fingertips.

I’m shedding light on lighters, of course.

We have at our disposal the power that humans once spent their entire days trying to harness.

We tend to get caught up in our day-to-day lives, that it is hard to appreciate how wealthy we are.

As a civilization, we’re - well - millennials ahead of our ancestors.

If you met someone from 10000 years ago, and asked them if they wanted to trade places with the poorest person living in our world today, they’d take that offer in a heart beat.

This isn’t in anyway demeaning the disparities that exist in our socioeconomic landscape, only to frame our collective wealth.

Whenever you’re feeling down, just remember the people of the past didn’t even have time to feel down.

They were just looking for fire the whole day.
