Chaos

I’ve learned that you need entropy in your days to help distinguish them.

I’ve perceived time to have gone by extremely, extremely fast in the last year. Much of this is due to a lack of differentiation in my days.

The lines have become blurry between days and weeks.

I’m a rather consistent person, eating the same meal each day, at the same time, sleeping at the same time, and so on.

I’m a firm believer in process, but I’ve learned the importance of adding variation at the micro level.

Instead of eating oatmeal and blueberries every morning, perhaps we add raspberries one day, instead.

Micro-adjustments.

I think back to my favourite movie, The Dark Knight.

Joker infamously says:

Introduce a little anarchy, upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos.

If entropy is a measure between order and chaos, then I think having entropy is good.

It’s what makes life interesting, after all.

Upset the established order; introduce a little bit of chaos in your life.
